What are the materials used for customizing sheet metal casings?
03-02
There are many sheet metal materials used for stamping. What are the sheet metals widely used in the electrical and electronics industry?
1. Ordinary cold rolled sheet SPCC
SPCC refers to the process of continuously making steel ingots into steel coils or steel plates of the required thickness through a cold rolling mill. The surface of SPCC is unprotected and easily oxidized when exposed to the air. Especially in a humid environment, the oxidation rate is accelerated and dark red rust appears. During use, the surface should be painted, electroplated or protected in other ways.
2. Galvanized steel sheet secc
The base material of SECC is ordinary cold-rolled steel coil. On the continuous electrogalvanizing production line, it undergoes degreasing, pickling, electroplating and various post-treatments to become an electrogalvanized product. SECC not only has the mechanical properties and similar processing properties of ordinary cold-rolled steel sheets, but also has superior corrosion resistance and decorative appearance. It has strong competitiveness and substitutability in the electronic products, home appliances and furniture markets. For example, SECC is widely used in computer cases.

3. Hot dip galvanized steel sheet SGCC
SGCC refers to hot-rolled pickled or cold-rolled semi-finished products that are cleaned, thermally reduced, immersed in a molten zinc bath at 460°C, zinc-coated, then quenched, tempered, leveled and chemically treated. SGCC materials are harder than SECC materials, have poorer ductility (avoid deep drawing design), have thicker zinc layers, and have poorer weldability.
4. Sheet metal casing customized stainless steel SUS301
The Cr (chromium) content is lower than SUS304, and the corrosion resistance is poor, but after cold working, it can obtain good tensile strength and hardness, and has good elasticity. Mainly used for leaf springs.
5. Stainless steel SUS304
A set of EMI, is one of the most widely used stainless steels. Because it contains nickel, its corrosion resistance and heat resistance are higher than those of chromium-containing steels. It has good mechanical properties, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, and no elasticity.
