Why does the custom-processed aluminum plate of the sheet metal casing crack?
03-02
Aluminum plates are prone to cracking after bending, or they may burst after being anodized. Many sheet metal case custom processing companies are confused about this. How can they avoid cracking? Xiao Xuan introduces several main reasons and precautions for aluminum plates to crack after bending:
1. Hardness of aluminum plate:
The hardness of aluminum plate is too high and it is easy to crack. This requires the selection of good aluminum, which mainly depends on the brand and condition of aluminum. Generally, 1 series, 3 series, and 5 series are used for comparison; 6 series and 7 series have too high hardness and are easy to bend after annealing in O state. There is also the quality of aluminum plate. Imported materials of the same type of aluminum plate are less likely to crack than domestic materials, but the data is also much more expensive.
2. Customized aluminum plate thickness for sheet metal casing:
Aluminum plates that are too thick are not easy to bend, so we can easily understand that we should try to use thinner aluminum plates.

3. The size of the bending R angle:
The larger the bending R angle, the higher the success rate, so try to increase the bending R angle as much as possible.
4. Aluminum plate texture direction:
The bending direction should be straight and not parallel to the grain direction of the aluminum plate.
